- I've been a hair stylist for over 20 years. For 8 years of my career I also worked for Rusk, where I did education and was trained by my mentors Irvine and Louise Rusk, inventors of the Rusk Cutting Method. At the age of 24 I opened my first salon in Los Gatos named OMO24 hair studio ( On My Own @ 24 years old). My most recent venture is an edgy New York loft style salon in the heart of the Historical district in San Jose, named Ego Mechanix salon. As the Creative Director I personally train and educates my staff along and provide courses to other hairstylists who want to learn new ways of creating modern edgy hair. I'm all about creating individual looks for individuals who want to stand out in the crowd and be noticed. It's all about staying true to your self. After all is said and done, you need to stand by your work and make people happy at the same time! In summer of 2008, I was a contestant on season 2 of Bravo’s Shear Genius. There I competed against 11 other stylists from around the country for the title of Shear Genius. The show challenged me both creatively and technically, and proudly I made it to the top 5.
